A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION WITH INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WAS SIGNED BY SNAU AUTHORITY

A memorandum of cooperation with the Turkish international construction company “Onur Construction International” was signed by the representatives of Sumy NAU.

“We are honoured to work with such a powerful company. We have already had experience with business and we want our cooperation to be systematic. It is very important for students not only to gain theoretical knowledge, but also to see in practice how certain processes take place in production and to undergo internships directly in companies. This is a good example of dual education, where a student works and studies at the same time. The cooperation with an international company will expand the boundaries of opportunities for students, and the opening of the Road Construction Faculty will allow to acquire new competencies and international experience. In spring we are goingto open a laboratory of materials science, where you can clearly see the materials used in road construction. We are also grateful to the administration of Sumy region for institutional support”, – said the Rector of Sumy NAU Volodymyr Ladyka.

“It is important to develop relationships with a multinational company, so today we continue the work we started at the end of September. 7000 kilometres of roads are currently being repairedin Sumy region, so the topic is really relevant. As the Sumy State Administration, we are interested in collaboration with the construction company “Onur Construction International”, – said Oleh Klymenchuk, Deputy Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration.

The Associate Professor of Tractors, Agricultural Machinery and Transport Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences Oleksandr Solariov told the audience about the structure of the university, its main components, including the virtual reality laboratory, landfill, scientific developments of SNAU.

“We are ready for long-term cooperation and thank you for your support. The main thing for us is to have not only theoretical education, but also practice, because then we’ll get really high-quality cooperation and highly qualified specialists. We will use your teaching materials as information that will help students stay in line with modern construction and at the same time improve the skills of our teachers, “, said Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Liudmyla Tsyhanok.

The signing of the Memorandum is aimed at using the available opportunities for professional and practical training and formation of scientific personnel for the road construction industry.
