Trench candles are necessary for our soldiers in harsh winter weather. They warm and give light. In addition, such candles burn with a low flame. This makes them convenient and safe to use on the front line.
In Sumy National Agrarian University the collection of funds and materials for the producing of trench candles is not completed (https://snau.edu.ua/u-snau-provodyat-zbir-koshtiv-dlya-vigotovlennya-okopnix-svichok/). Students and staff of the institution create them every day with their own hands. This gives us the opportunity to meet the needs of soldiers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Opryshko gave a great impetus to revitalizing work and speeding up production. A volunteer provided Sumy National University with 100 kg of paraffin for making trench candles. (https://snau.edu.ua/shhe-bilshe-okopnix-svichok-na-peredovu/).
On the 23rd of November, 2022, SNAU students handed over 400 trench candles to the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade named after the Koshovii Ataman Petro Kalnyshevskii.
