On June 16, 2022, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted the II International Symposium “Population Ecology of Plants: Current State, Growth Points”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Yu. Zlobin. They listened to the reports of well-known scientists of the Institute of Botany named after M.G. Kholodny of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: Academician, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Geobotany and Ecology Ya. Didukh and Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor D. Dubyna. Specialists from higher education institutions (Prague, Czech Republic), (Samsun Turkey), (Kyiv, Chernihiv, Nizhyn, Kherson, Sumy and others, Ukraine). The symposium was held with the active participation of instructors from the Department of Ecology and Botany of Sumy National Agrarian University. The reporters covered various aspects of phytopopulations, topical issues of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, introduction of best European practices in the environmental sector, development of ecotourism, the formation of the Sumy NAU scientific school of population ecology of plants.
