During September, 2022, we invite you to join a month-long virtual class for post-graduate students and scientists of SNAU on the topic “Practical Tools of Grant-Funded Research”. The best student of the course will be invited to join the study tour and summer school in Prague in autumn 2022.

The class is planned as a series of webinars (the 22nd-28th of September) of practical classes for graduate students and young researchers using a virtual platform. Czech experts will provide support in the implementation of practical tasks and cover, among others, the following topics, guaranteeing the quality of your research financed by the European grant:

– improvement of work with scientific databases and implementation of principles of scientometrics; different systems of measurement and analysis of scientific literature;

– evaluation of the differences between Web of Science and Scopus based on scientometrics, as well as classification of fields of research and development (FORD);

– the structure of scientific work and the type of research subject to grant funding;

– specifics of research projects: challenges, management and implementation.

The asynchronous learning mode will make it easier for the participants to understand the materials of Czech experts and apply them in practice. As a result of the class, it is planned to create a concept of a grant proposal for each participant with the help of which graduates will be invited to submit an application for a mini-grant competition.

NOTE: Only graduates of this class are eligible for mini-grants.

The best graduate from each partner university will be invited to join a study tour and summer school in Prague in autumn, 2022. All successful graduates will receive a certificate with the appropriate number of ECTS.

The development project “Increasing the Post-Graduates Potential for Qualitative Research in Ukraine” (August-December, 2022) is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The project was initiated by the Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague (Czech Republic) and Sumy National Agrarian University in a consortium with other four Ukrainian universities: Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, Sumy State University, Polish National University and “Chernihivska Politehnika” University.

The Head of the project from the Czech side is Davyd Kherak, Doctor, Professor of the Faculty of Engineering. The coordinator of the project from the Ukrainian side for Sumy National Agrarian University is Candidate of Economical Sciences, Associate Professor Tetiana Hvorost, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
