The project is implemented with the support of the European Union under the «Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects» (CoM-DeP) program.
SNAU was actively participating in the conference.
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by a key project expert, support team leader Jan WAANDERS, who noted the high level of organization of the process at the local level.
At the beginning of the conference, Taras Savchenko, the First Deputy Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, and Mykhailo Bondarenko, the First Deputy Mayor, also emphasized the importance of such projects for the residents of the city and region.
During the event, the Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects Program in Ukraine was reviewed and presented by Dmytro Ivanenko, a key expert of the CoM-DeP Program Support Team.
Kateryna Havrylova, a project manager, spoke about the stages of implementation of the project “Improving energy efficiency in educational institutions of Sumy”.
The technical expert of the project Andrii Udovyk noted that the thermal modernization of general secondary education institutions took place in accordance with the standards of the European Union and in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation.
Olena Melnyk, the Head of the Project Sector, Sumy National Agrarian University, introduced energy efficiency as a guarantee of combating climate change.
