A regular meeting of the Board of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Sumy Region was held at Sumy National Agrarian University. Eight members of the Council joined the meeting.
The rector of Sumy National Agrarian University, the Chairman of the Council, Volodymyr Ladyka, reported on the organization of the beginning of the new 2022/2023 academic year. All rectors noted that there is a threat to start the school year offline. The possibility to start a new academic year on August 1, 2022, was also discussed.
The second issue concerned business support through the replacement of mobilized employees of enterprises with senior students. It was decided to make proposals to the business to replace the mobilized workers with students of the Sumy region.
The Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions in Sumy region also considered the issue of re-applying to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to facilitate the entry of foreign citizens to Higher Education Institutions in 2022. They decided to prepare a letter of appeal regarding the possibility of simplified entry of foreign citizens to Higher Education Institutions in 2022.
Besides, they discussed the work with communities and the need to conclude a memorandum with communities.
