SNAU SCIENTISTS TOOK PART IN 20TH INTERNATIONAL TRIBO-PPRIME SYMPOSIUM

October 7-8, 2021, the 20th International Symposium TRIBO-PPRIME was held at the Pprime Institute (P ’) of the University of Poitiers, France.

The University of Poitiers is one of the oldest universities in France and Europe, founded in 1431. The most famous graduates of this university are Francis Bacon, Francois Viet and Rene Descartes himself, whose coordinates we still use nowadays.

The Pprime Institute (P ’) is a modern, powerful research center of the University of Poitiers, specializing in physics and engineering. The center operates under the auspices of CNRS (National Research Center of France), ENSIP (National High School of Engineers Poitiers) and ISAE-ENSMA (National High School of Mechanics and Aeronautical Engineering).

The 20th TRIBO-PPRIME International Symposium gave an opportunity for researchers and practitioners from industry and academia to gather and share their knowledge on the implementation of highly efficient materials for plain bearings. It presented the results of recent research on this topic to identify problems the industrial enterprises face. The event was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Complex Systems of the Pprime Institute (UPR 3346, CNRS-Université de Poitiers-ISAE-ENSMA). The topics of the presentations covered a wide range of areas, such as materials science, surface engineering and tribology. Participating countries: France, Switzerland, USA, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Russia, Denmark, Japan.

The representatives of Sumy NAU presented two reports, the results of the common studies, conducted by the Laboratory of Functional Coatings (Prof. V. Tarelnyk).

Presentations and reports aroused lively discussion and interest from the symposium participants.
