“I have my own truth in my house, /And strength and will. /There is no Ukraine in the world, /There is no second Dnipro…” – lines written by a genius of Ukrainian and world literary heritage, a titan of words, “the son of a peasant, who became a ruler in the realm of the spirit.”
Every year, on the occasion of Kobzar’s birthday, SumyNational Agrarian University initiates the contest “Unite Ukraine with the Word of Taras” to honour the memory of Taras Shevchenko. As part of the event, the participants recorded a video in which they recited the poet’s poems.
Jury of the literary contest: Svitlana Shestakova, the Head of the Department of State and Legal Disciplines and Ukrainian Studies, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor; Svitlana Zinchenko, the Head of the Department for Organizing Educational Work with SNAU Students; Inna Kharchenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor; Natalia Kuzmenko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of State and Legal Disciplines and Ukrainian Studies, the Head of the Methodological Work.
More than 100 participants sent their video works. Among them, the winners were chosen in 4 categories: region, city, colleges, institutions of higher education.
