On the 25th of November, Sumy National Agrarian University launched a “16 Days Against Violence” campaign, which will last until the 10th of December, and is aimed at creating a culture of gender equality, skills to combat domestic violence and prevent human trafficking.
The 25th of November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Every day every fifth woman suffers from violence from her husband. Thousands of crippled women’s destinies, shattered dreams and despair. All these are consequences of violence. To better cover this issue, the department for organizing the educational activity with students organized a review of social videos on this topic and their discussion.
The students were very affected by the footage shown. They expressed their opinion, put questions, shared their emotions, because violence in any form should not exist in a civilized, democratic country! This is a problem that must be fought, because no person should realize himself by humiliating and bullying others. There is no excuse for violence.
