“TO REACH THE GOAL, YOU MUST FIRST GO” (Honore de Balzac)

After the forced break, Sumy National Agrarian University and partners continue to implement the project of the International Labour Organization “Development of an Inclusive Labour Market in Ukraine.”

The first meeting of partners held today since the beginning of the war. They discussed changes in the project concept that would support agricultural entrepreneurship and craft production, launch new business initiatives and ensure food security in the region.

Notes:

– theFirst Deputy Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration TarasSavchenko expressed his support for the reorientation of the project to help the development of farms. He hopes that the partnership will be able to work in synergy with the Council for Reconstruction and Development of Sumy region;

– the Vice-Rector of SNAU YuriiDanko noted that it is important for us not only to maintain the partnership, but also to expand it, in particular, he proposed to include the Regional Development Agency in the partnership;

– aproject manager OlenaMelnyknoted that support would be provided not only for the creation of new business initiatives.They will help farms and craft producers who have suffered losses due to hostilities;

– the director of LLC «Feniks»VolodymyrOpryshko shared his experience in organizing small dairy farms in Croatia and Western Ukraine and expressed a desire to increase the amount of financial assistance to support entrepreneurship;

– representatives of all 5 communities unanimously expressed their desire to continue their participation in the project and pledged to assist the implementation of new tasks.

The project is ongoing and now its goals and objectives have become even more popular – to support those entrepreneurs who have suffered losses due to Russia’s military aggression; to give an opportunity to start a new business to those, who lost their jobs; to ensure food security in the region!
