Sumy National Agrarian University hosted the following guests: Oleh KRAPYVNYI, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, and Viktor TRUSH, Director of “Kolos” company. The main purpose of the visit is an interview with students of the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Natural Resource Management and the Faculty of Biology and Technology of SNAU and further employment, as well as deepening cooperation.
The visit began with a meeting of guests with SNAU administration and faculty deans. They discussed the ways of cooperation, the challenges of the martial law for providing education and conducting business, and discussed the idea of a modern student and future employee, his ambitions and opportunities for career growth while working at the company.
Subsequently, they inspected the material and technical base of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the Faculty of Food Technologies and the Green Center. The partners were sincerely surprised by the high-quality modernized equipment used by the students of Sumy National Agrarian University to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
The culmination of the meeting was the interview of the director of the “Kolos” company with students of the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Natural Resource Management and the Faculty of Biology and Technology. The meeting was moderated by Ihor KOVALENKO, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work of Sumy National Agrarian University. During the welcoming speech, the representative of the administration of our higher education institution emphasized the importance of meetings with business representatives for further successful employment of young people and building a successful career:
Our main mission today, in addition to providing quality education, is successful employment. We are the first to whom representatives of various types of businesses turn for highly qualified staff. They need students not only with a diploma, but also with knowledge and practical experience. Our university tries to create comfortable conditions for young people working in their profession. This is a distance form, individual education. In this way, the student works, combining career building with studies.
The “Kolos” farm is territorially located in the Chernihiv region. It is engaged in the cultivation of grain, leguminous, oil crops and the production of compound feed, as well as the breeding of pigs and cattle. The final products of the closed production cycle are sausage products and semi-finished products.
The director of the Kolos company, Viktor TRUSH, outlined the requirements for students who plan to work at the company, their duties, working conditions and schedule.
Young people interested in cooperation had the opportunity to take part in a private interview with the director of the “Kolos” company with the aim of further successful employment.
