At the end of November, a student of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Sumy National Agrarian Faculty, Roman HOLIKOV, became a participant in the public initiative “TamBUR”.
“TamBUR” is a mobility program for youth and communities, which, through the exchange of experience and acquaintance with successful cases, helps to engage in socially beneficial actions. Learning through the experience of others. This unites representatives of the public sector, business and local governments to teach how to solve community problems in partnership with each other. The participants saw initiatives that have already achieved success in implementing changes: public organizations and enterprises.
Roman joined such an event for the first time:
“This TamBUR became a real source of inspiration for me. Every day was filled with events that made me start to treat community development and charity in a completely different way. The biggest “wow effect” for me was caused by a case about attracting grant funds for the development of public organizations. This is not just an interesting theory, but a practical tool that we have already begun to study in order to adapt it in our community.”
As the agrarian guard says, they were given a real excursion. First, they went to the Water Tower so that representatives of different communities in Ukraine could take a fresh look at the history and culture of the Vinnytsia region, creating a harmonious balance between study and recreation. After that, they were organized a trip to the Podil community. This is not just an organized structure, but a living example of what an ideal charity system should look like.
Following the excursions, Roman added:
“Such an approach arouses a desire to adopt experience and improve our work. But the main thing is people. During these days, I was in a circle of incredible personalities: active, intelligent, inspired. Each conversation was so meaningful that after the forum I felt as if I had been charged for months ahead. It was a real environment of ideas, decisions and boundless motivation.”
