On January 15, representatives of student self-government bodies and the trade union of students and postgraduates of the SNAU met with the rector, Ihor KOVALENKO.

The conversation over a cup of tea in a relaxed atmosphere provided an opportunity to listen to questions and opinions of all parties, to joke and learn more about the university and each other.

During the election campaign, the rector promised students similar meetings with elements of team building. The informal meeting with the applicants is a good example of student-driven management, because, according to Ihor Mykolayovych himself:
If there is no student, there will be no teacher.”

The participants discussed the format of education, accreditation of educational programs, work at the university, involvement in the academic and extracurricular processes, plans for future events, both at the university and faculty levels, and other relevant topics.

The student self-government also asked the rector for his opinion on their work and possible recommendations. He expressed his gratitude for the work done and recommended that we learn from the experience of higher education institutions in Europe and around the world.

The discussion was productive and promising, and also highlighted the prospect of holding similar meetings in the future, as all parties are interested in this.
