From March 20 to 22, a representative of the student government of Sumy National Agrarian University took part in the 1st All-Ukrainian Forum of Student Government Leaders “Students Today and Tomorrow: From Dreams to Action,” which was held in the city of Kharkiv. The event brought together 40 student government bodies from different regions of Ukraine, which emphasizes its scale and importance for the development of the student community.

For three days, participants took part in panel discussions, exchanged experience of student organizations, and presented their universities and their features. Among the key topics of the forum were the digitalization of the educational process, expanding cooperation with business, international integration, and updating educational programs in accordance with modern requirements.

A representative of SNAU, Roman HOLIKOV, joined the discussion of issues of modernization of higher education through the prism of student government. As part of a special training on student-centeredness, participants studied practical methods for actively involving students in the educational process and looked for ways to improve the efficiency of student self-government bodies.

In addition to the intensive business program, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of Kharkiv during a city tour, which allowed them to more deeply feel the historical value of one of the most important educational and scientific centers of Ukraine.

Summing up their participation in the event, Roman HOLIKOV noted:
The forum gave me invaluable experience and inspiring meetings. I not only gained new knowledge about the development of student self-government, but also found ideas that I plan to implement at our university. What impressed me most was the openness of the dialogue and the willingness of leaders from different regions to share their best practices.”

The participation of a representative of SNAU in such a large-scale event testifies to the active position of our university in the development of student self-government and improving the quality of education in Ukraine. Such initiatives contribute to the formation of new leaders capable of implementing changes for the better in the educational space.
