Zubko Vladyslav

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

He was born in 1981 in Ukraine. He graduated from Sumy National Agrarian University with degrees in “Mechanization of Agriculture” and “Management of Organizations” and obtained a candidate degree in the field of machinery and means of mechanization for agricultural production in 2010.

In 2021, he defended his doctoral dissertation on ensuring the quality of mechanized agro-technologies. He worked as an associate professor and head of the Department of “Tractors and Agricultural Machines” at Sumy National Agrarian University.

He is the author of 205 scientific works and several monographs. His research interests include Precision Farming systems, robotics, and digital platforms in agricultural production. He was awarded the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine prize for his achievements in science.

General information

2000-2005 – Studied at the Engineering and Technology Faculty of Sumy National Agrarian University, specializing in “Mechanization of Agriculture”, graduated with honors.

2003-2005 – Studied at the Economic Faculty of Sumy National Agrarian University, specializing in “Management of Organizations”.

2005-2008 – Completed postgraduate studies at the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, specializing in “Machines and Means of Mechanization for Agricultural Production”.

Since 2008 – Worked as a senior lecturer and associate professor at Sumy National Agrarian University.

In 2010, defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in the specialty 05.05.11 – Machines and Means of Mechanization for Agricultural Production on the topic “Improving the Efficiency of the Mechanized Technological Process of Growing and Harvesting Winter Rapeseed”.

2010–2015 – Associate professor of the “Tractors and Agricultural Machines” department at Sumy National Agrarian University.

2015–2018 – Head of the “Tractors and Agricultural Machines” department at Sumy National Agrarian University.

In 2021, defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty 05.05.11 – Machines and Means of Mechanization for Agricultural Production on the topic “Concept of Ensuring the Quality of Mechanized Agro-technologies”.

On November 27, 2021, was elected as an academician of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Ukraine.

Since April 2022, has been acting Dean of the Engineering and Technology Faculty.

Educational and scientific activity

Main academic disciplines: “Theoretical foundations of agricultural machinery design,” “Agricultural machinery,” “Machinery and equipment of agro-industrial production,” “Justification of engineering solutions,” “Design of technological processes in precision agriculture.”

During the period of scientific and pedagogical activity, 205 scientific and methodological works were published, including 2 textbooks (one of them co-authored), 3 monographs, including 67 scientific articles in professional journals included in the list approved by the Academic Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; 7 articles and abstracts in Scopus-indexed databases; 10 patents for utility models of Ukraine; 11 practical workshops; 8 lecture notes; 13 programs of normative academic disciplines; 37 methodological recommendations for laboratory, practical, and independent work; 135 abstracts of reports at international conferences, both individual and co-authored.

Research area: Ensuring the quality of technological operations in crop production. Precision farming systems. Robotics. Digital platforms in agricultural production.
