The 18th of October is the European Day against Human Trafficking. Few of us think about how widespread this problem is and how urgently it needs to be solved.
A few statistical facts: during 2019, the Ministry of Social Policy established the status of a person affected by human trafficking to 185 citizens, including 53 women, 119 men and 13 children (3 boys and 10 girls).
On the 26th of October, 2022, the psychological service of the department for organizing the educational activity of SNAU, together with students of the institution, watched the videos “What is human trafficking?” as part of the “CINEMA_SNAU” film club. and “Life for sale”.
At the end of the meeting, Liudmyla Mykhailenko, a psychologist of Sumy National Agrarian University, discussed the following issues with the youth:
The team of the department for the organization of educational work with students of Sumy National Agrarian University is convinced that an important emphasis during the development of a student’s personality should be on solving complex social and psychological problems. Events in this direction are held not only to attract the attention of the public, but also to teach young people to overcome life’s troubles with dignity and, most importantly, to avoid them.
We thank the organizers for the informative event, and the students for their active participation in SNAU’s life.
