Every year from November 25 to December 10, “16 Days of activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign” is held in the world. It was founded to highlight the problem of the existence of all forms of violence and the ways how to overcome it. This year, due to the war, the situation with outrage has become more complicated for Ukrainians. For this reason, it is necessary to know the aspects of treatment if one faces violence.
As part of the campaign, charity initiatives and educational events for students were held on the basis of Sumy National Agrarian University:
● 25.11.2022- online survey “What do you know about violence?”was organized on the occasion of the International Day AgainstWomen’s Violence;
● 29.11.2022- online lecture with training elements “There is no excuse for violence!”;
● 01.12.2022- a campaign “Say No to AIDS!”;
● 02.12.2022- a lecture “How not to become a victim of violence?Why is there slavery in the world? dedicated to the International Day Against Slavery, was presented by a senior inspector of the public relations sector of the patrol police department in Sumy Region, Police Captain O.Krasovska.
● 03.12.2022-a charity event “Open your heart for good” for children of Sumy Regional Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation for Children and Persons with Disabilities, was organized on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities;
● 06.12.2022-honoring the memory of female students shot in Montreal. Watch the movie “Break the Circle”;
● 10.12.2022-a presentation of the social video “Break the Cycle of Violence” dedicated to the international Human Rights Day.
