On the 15th of February, 2023, students of the Biological and Technological Faculty, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Natural Resource Management led by the Deans – Victoriia Vechorka, Oleksandr Nechyporenko and Olha Bakumenko visited the LC “CHERVUS”.
The main goal was to sign a cooperation agreement with LC “CHERVUS”, agreeing on the issue of practical training of students, discussing the prospects of opening a new Master’s program “Aviary Breeding of Hunting Animals”.
First, the students were introduced to the material and technical base of the company and were shown the livestock.
Dmytro Rusanov, the owner of a red deer breeding farm, told the students about his experience and gave instructions: “It is necessary that you do not just come to work at the enterprise and do what you are told, but that you fully understand your business. It’s all experience. Everyone is asking for a specialist. Aviary breeding of hunting animals is a business with great prospects for the future, so the creation of educational programs is now more relevant than ever”.
The participants also held a plenary part on the basis of Agrofirm, LC “Kozatska”, during which Victoriia Vechorka, the Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Technology, presented the educational program “Aviary Breeding of Hunting Animals”. Dmytro Rusanov outlined the ways and prospects of organizing internships and internships for students of our higher education institution.
At the end of the visit, a cooperation agreement and Memorandum were signed between Sumy National Agrarian University and LC “CHERVUS”.
