On March 28 in order to expand the network of employers-partners of SNAU, an online meeting of representatives of the university and the Agro-industrial holding “Astarta-Kyiv” was held. During the working meeting, the company “Astarta-Kyiv” presented its main areas of activity, including: agricultural production, sugar production, soybean processing, milk production, bioenergy and elevators. The company has powerful capabilities to provide students of Sumy National University with a high-quality material and technical base and a mentoring system in the process of forming the practical skills of a highly qualified student of higher education. The representatives of the public European company talked about the opportunities for career development, terms of payment, accommodation and food, which will be offered to the intern applicants. During the meeting representatives of education and business discussed various formats of cooperation: internships and practical training of applicants, as well as dual education.
As the next step to strengthen cooperation, it was proposed to organize online meetings with students by specialty, during which the heads of specialized departments will tell in detail about the internship conditions, work features, requirements and expectations of the employer. Based on the results of the working meeting, preliminary agreements were reached regarding the conclusion of the Cooperation Agreement, determination of the enterprise’s quantitative need for applicants by specialty. All participants of the meeting expanded their network of professional contacts.
We are convinced that further effective cooperation between Sumy National University and the agro-industrial holding “Astarta-Kyiv” will be a guarantee of high-quality training for those who are seeking higher education and will contribute to the development of human resources of our country.
