ERASMUS+ PROJECT. OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH

Sumy National Agrarian University has been actively cooperating with the ERASMUS+ youth program for several years. This is a project aimed at promoting comprehensive development and education of students from different countries of the world.

This time, within the framework of ERASMUS+, SNAU representatives visited Turkey, participating in a youth exchange.

Karina Buryk became part of the “Under 10 Flags” project, which took place in the city of Istanbul. Participating countries were Ukraine, Lithuania, Turkey, Georgia, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Serbia, Kosovo, Cyprus. The youth exchange was aimed at promoting democracy, human rights and conveying the importance of observing international laws and spreading EU values and principles.

Participants in the project:

  • gained experience and knowledge on current topics;
  • discussed the current state of the countries that participated in the project;
  • got to know new cultures and representatives of other teams;
  • shared current information about military conflicts and wars;
  • spread information about crimes committed by Russia on the territory of Ukraine.

“We are for peace in the whole world” is the main message formed by the participants after the end of the project.

Daryna Hromychenko is a participant of the project “Solidarity Against Fake News” in the city of Ankara.

The program brought together representatives of Albania, Germany, Romania, Estonia, France, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Morocco and Turkey.

The purpose of the project:

  • to develop consultation mechanisms with state authorities and non-governmental organizations to promote a non-discriminatory image of immigrants in the mass media;
  • to create an intercultural environment designed to facilitate integration and social cohesion on migration issues;
  • to provide objective and realistic information about immigrants;
  • to teach correct and effective communication through mass media in order to eliminate racism, xenophobia and discrimination against immigrants.
