SNAU JOINED THE BORSCH CHARITY INITIATIVE

The Institute of Potato Growing of Northeast Ukraine of Sumy National Agrarian University joined the BORSCH charity initiative.

Alex Lissitsa launched this volunteer movement in 2022, after a full-scale invasion began. The main goal is to enable Ukrainians to provide themselves with the necessary food products or to obtain additional income for the family.

Sumy National Agrarian University is the only institution of higher education in Ukraine that deals with potato selection. Recently, the team of SNAU donated seed potatoes as planting material to households in settlements affected by military operations, as part of the BORSCH charity initiative.

This is not the first time SNAU has cooperated with the BORSCH charity organization (see https://snau.edu.ua/vse-bude-snau-borsch), and Alex Lissitsa is a partner with whom our university has long-term friendly ties (see https://snau.edu.ua/vizit-aleksa-lissitsi-v-snau/). In addition, SNAU students are traditionally participants of the Agrokebety project, whose partner is the IMC company (see https://snau.edu.ua/cnau-rozpochinaye-pidgotovku-do-prijomu-studentiv-na-programu-agrokebeti/) .
