In 2022, the German Rotary Club made the dream of 60 Ukrainian students come true by providing scholarships to pay for their education at Sumy National University for two years. This year, 52 applicants will get financial support.
Who can get a scholarship from Rotary Club?
The Rotary Club scholarship is awarded to applicants recommended for admission to Sumy NAU and its structural subdivisions or who are already studying on a commercial basis in any speciality at Sumy NAU. Low-income persons; semi-orphans; applicants from families with 2 students studying on a commercial basis at SNAU; students affected by Russian aggression can apply for financial support.
Scholarship payment conditions
Scholarships are paid once every 3 months during the year, starting from the first day of the month after entering SNAU.
Stories of scholarship recipients in 2022/2023
The Rotary Club first provided financial support to Ukrainian students at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, in 2022. At that time, 60 applicants got a scholarship for 2 years. For most of them, the Rotary Club provided the only chance to study. Some of the stories are a true example of the miracle of life that the Rotary Club has created for students.
