We invite educational institutions to become a part of the Great Charter of Universities – a community that strives to continuously improve the future of higher education!
Apply at https://www.magna-charta.org/magna-charta-universitatum/mcu2020 and support the values of academic freedom, institutional autonomy, and social responsibility!
The Magna Carta of Universities was created in 1988 to mark the 900th anniversary of the founding of the University of Bologna, the oldest higher education institution in Europe. The rectors of 430 universities then signed a document outlining the fundamental principles that should guide educational institutions to improve and develop the educational sector and counter the challenges it faces.
Sumy National Agrarian University signed the updated Magna Carta of Universities in September 2022 in Bologna. Together with representatives of 60 educational institutions from 40 countries, SNAU, represented by Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Yurii DANKO, demonstrated its commitment to promoting academic autonomy, social responsibility and university values (more information is available at https://snau.edu.ua/sumskij-nau-pidpisav-veliku-xartiyu-universitetiv/).
