Sumy National Agrarian University organised a week full of various events to celebrate International Students’ Day. More than 10 activities were organised for students: art therapy, trainings, sports and intellectual games. Each faculty took an active part and organised something unique. The list of events that took place: is the following:
- Table tennis tournament among young men in the individual championship.
- A panel discussion of students and schoolchildren: the issue of choosing a profession (success stories).
- “Integration Voyage.
- Training ‘Tolerance is the way to peace’ dedicated to the Day of Tolerance.
- ‘Evening SNAU’ by the faculty of Biology and Technology and Faculty of Engineering and Technology
- ‘Plasticine art’ by the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Natural Resource Management
- Game ‘Who’s on top?’.
- Game ‘Knowledge without Boundaries’ by the Faculty of Law.
- Game ‘Do you have any questions?’
- Art therapy by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
- Thematic film club.
- Thematic game ‘Mafia’ by the Faculty of Food Technologies.
Student activities were held in a friendly holiday atmosphere, with smiles on the faces of the participants. The programme combined all spheres of life for the students so that everyone could find something they liked. In addition, Agrarian students welcomed guests from other higher education institutions of the city during the Integration Voyage, demonstrating once again that SNAU is WOW.
At the end of the week, on the occasion of Student’s Day, a festive concert was held at Sumy NAU, during which the best representatives of the student youth were awarded. Active participants in international and all-Ukrainian student conferences, research and educational programmes and projects were awarded.
Student self-government of the faculties and the university as a whole is a powerful team that helps students, deans and the university administration. On the occasion of International Students’ Day, the Rector of Sumy National Agrarian University awarded more than 20 of the most active representatives of the university’s youth with a letter of gratitude.
In addition, the success of our students was also recognised at the regional level. On the occasion of the International Student’s Day, 8 university students were awarded diplomas of the Sumy Regional State Administration, diplomas of the Sumy Regional Council and diplomas of the Department of Education and Science of the Sumy Regional State Administration. They were awarded for their active participation in international academic mobility programmes, promotion of architectural education, active volunteer work and other areas.
After the ceremony, a new initiative was announced for students of all faculties: the annual SNAU Students Awards ceremony.
This competition will not only recognize the creative talents of students, but every year it will improve and expand the nominations to cover a variety of student activities. Every year, all faculties of the university will compete for the title and the Cup of Winners and the title of the best of the best.
The general theme of the competition is ‘Hollywood in Ukrainian’, it will be held on 27-28 November.
