From March 3 to 7, 2025, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted the first ever Parade of Elective Courses, a unique event that helps students choose the most interesting and useful courses for them. Throughout the week, teachers from different faculties presented their disciplines, telling about their practical significance, possibilities of application in the future profession, and career prospects. The interactive format allowed students to get answers to their questions, better understand the content of the subjects, and confidently choose those that best suit their interests and professional aspirations.
How was the parade held?
- Monday (March 3): the event kicked off with a presentation of the Law School’s disciplines. The students learned how elective courses will help them in their legal work and improve their professional skills.
- Tuesday (March 4): the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering and the Faculty of Biology and Technology presented their educational offerings. There were many questions about the latest agrotechnologies, environmental aspects and biotechnological innovations.
- Wednesday (March 5): the focus of the day was on the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Food Technologies. Participants learned which disciplines will help them become successful in business, management and the food industry.
- Thursday (March 6): the final day of presentations – the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Students discovered modern engineering approaches and opportunities for development in the veterinary field.
The event was organized at the initiative of the Department of Education Quality, Licensing and Accreditation, and it has already received positive feedback from students. We are confident that the Parade of Elective Disciplines will become a good tradition of the university, as it promotes a conscious approach to shaping one’s own educational trajectory.
Let the choice made be a step towards new knowledge, opportunities and professional achievements!
