SNAU confirms scientific power: worthy certification in the engineering and technological direction

On October 2, 2025, the presentation of the results of the certification of higher education institutions and scientific institutions in the areas of “Natural Sciences and Mathematics” and “Engineering and Technology” was held at the Odessa National University named after I. I. Mechnikov

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, members of the Presidium of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Scientific Work at the Ministry of Education and Science, rectors of higher education institutions and directors of scientific institutions of the southern region of Ukraine. Sumy National Agrarian University was represented by Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities Yurii Danko.

According to the results of the certification, SNAU received category B in the engineering and technological direction, which confirms the university’s compliance with modern requirements for
effective scientific activity. Thus, in 2025, the university officially confirmed the successful completion of state certification and received a certificate confirming its classification into category B.

This result indicates a high level of scientific and research work, development of the human resources potential of scientific and pedagogical workers, active participation in international projects and grants, implementation of research results into production and high-quality training of new generations of scientists.

In general, the basic areas of scientific activity of SNAU are certified as follows:

  • agricultural and veterinary – category A (high level);
  • social – category B;
  • engineering and technological – category B.

The certification is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the basis of a comprehensive assessment that takes into account publication activity, international cooperation, patent and expert activity, training of young scientists, the level of citations and implementation of results in practice. The received categories determine the further possibilities of the university in terms of state funding, participation in competitions and programs, and also confirm the status of SNAU as a leading scientific and educational center of the region.

This achievement was made possible thanks to the coordinated work of the university team. We express our sincere gratitude to all scientists of SNAU for their professional dedication and daily work, which strengthens the scientific potential of the university and raises the authority of Ukrainian science in the world.
