Published: October 30, 2025

On October 27, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted a language quiz for the Day of the Ukrainian Language, organized by the Youth Policy Department team. The event brought together students in an atmosphere of positivity, competition, and love for their native language. The event was held in safe conditions — in the university’s shelter.

The Sumy Region Youth Policy Department is an initiative team that implements youth projects aimed at developing active civic positions, cultural awareness, and patriotism among the region’s youth. They support student initiatives, organize trainings, competitions, volunteer events, and events that help form a cohesive and educated youth community.

The quiz program consisted of six thematic rounds that covered questions on the Ukrainian language, literature, phraseology, culture, and interesting facts about Ukraine. Participants were not only expected to answer questions about their knowledge, but also a fun interactive atmosphere, humorous tasks and musical breaks that created a real holiday spirit.

Six teams of students took part in the competition: “Patriots”, “Agrarvardtsi”, “Businessmen”, “Kinomovnyki”, “OPG Pravnyki” and “Phoenixes of Writing”. The victory went to the “Patriots” team, which scored 47 points and received a prize from the organizers. The second place was taken by “Agrarvardtsi” (29 points), and the third place was taken by “Businessmen” (28 points). All participants demonstrated remarkable intelligence, knowledge and team spirit.

At the end of the event, the organizers thanked the students for their activity and inspiration, emphasizing that the preservation and development of the Ukrainian language is not only a cultural, but also a civic mission of the modern generation.

Language is our strength, a symbol of unity and resilience in times of trial. It is precisely such initiatives that help young people feel involved in a common cause — the preservation of the Ukrainian word, which unites hearts and shapes the future of Ukraine.
