During a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the delegation of Sumy National Agrarian University held an important meeting with long-standing friends and reliable partners — representatives of the Rotary Club Beilngries-Altmühltal. The visit provided an opportunity to express gratitude for the club’s many years of support, discuss future cooperation, and strengthen international ties during this challenging period for Ukraine.
Rotary Club Beilngries-Altmühltal is a civic international volunteer organization and a member of the Rotary International network. Its activities focus on promoting education, supporting youth, implementing humanitarian and social projects, and fostering peace and international partnership. Club members are united by shared values of service, charity, and helping those in need.
The partnership between SNAU and the Rotary Club Beilngries-Altmühltal has lasted for several years and includes targeted scholarship programs, support for students, joint humanitarian initiatives, and reciprocal delegation visits. Within this cooperation, the partners consistently provide scholarships to SNAU students facing difficult life circumstances.
The purpose of this visit was to deepen the partnership and extend personal gratitude to the German colleagues for their support, which has become especially important in wartime. The SNAU delegation presented the outcomes of the scholarship program, shared its impact on student families, and discussed opportunities for further expanding cooperation.
Rotary Club scholarships are aimed at low-income students, half-orphans, applicants from families with two children who are simultaneously studying under tuition-based programs, as well as young people affected by russian aggression. For the university community this support is not only financial — it is a sign of solidarity, humanity and trust in Ukrainian youth.
“Our cooperation with Sumy National Agrarian University is more than just a partnership project. It is an opportunity to support young people who are building the future of their country under extremely difficult circumstances. We truly believe in the potential of Ukrainian students and want them to have the chance to study, grow, and turn their dreams into reality,” noted representatives of the Rotary Club Beilngries-Altmühltal.
