This month, there was a local ceremony of presenting diplomas to scholarship holders of the Supreme Council of Ukraine – young scientists and doctors of science, awarded for high results of scientific research activities. For Sumy National Agrarian University and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, this idea is of great importance as confirmation of the state recognition of the university’s scientific achievements.
The Supreme Council of Ukraine Scholarship is one of the most prestigious forms of government desire in the field of science and innovation and is awarded to doctors of science and young scientists for the results of scientific and technical work in 2024. The award is given in competitions for scientific research that has practical value and contributes to the development of the scientific and technological potential of Ukraine.
Among the scholarship holders is a representative of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Sumy National Agrarian University, head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mykhailo Shuliak, who received the honorary title of Verkhovna Rada Scholar of Ukraine for the successful establishment of scholarships in scientific and technical work in 2024, in line with the Decree of the Supreme Council of Ukraine.
At the hour of the ceremony, the insignia of the Head of the Committee of the Supreme Council of Ukraine for the Nutrition of Illumination, Science and Innovation was presented to Serhii Babak, noting: “It’s good to hear about the successes and achievements of young people, who are obviously missing out on Ukrainian science, who strive for results, in the face of war. This is the scientific and pedagogical personnel potential of the country, without any Vidbudov, nor the long-term development of Ukraine.”
Sumy National Agrarian University is widely supported by Mykhailo Shuliak and the team of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology with these high state renowns. The award of the Supreme Council of Ukraine scholarship will confirm the importance of scientific research, its effectiveness and the role of science as the basis for the ongoing development, innovation and future of Ukraine.
