On the occasion of the Unity Day of Ukraine, the President of Ukraine signed Decree No. 67/2026 “On Awarding State Awards of Ukraine”, which recognized citizens for their significant contribution to the development of the state and various spheres of public life. Among the awardees is Yurii Danko, Vice- Rector for Scientific and International Work of Sumy National Agrarian University.
State awards and honorary titles of Ukraine are awarded for significant merits in strengthening Ukrainian statehood, high professional achievements, conscientious performance of official duties, as well as a significant personal contribution to the development of science, education, economy and international cooperation.
This year, the honorary title “Honored Economist of Ukraine” was awarded to Yurii Ivanovych Danko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Work of SNAU, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the occasion of the Unity Day of Ukraine.
Yurii Ivanovych, with his many years of work, makes a significant contribution to the development of the university’s scientific and international activities. Under his leadership, project activities in the field of agrarian and economic development are being implemented, aimed at modernizing the agricultural sector, strengthening the integration of science and practice, as well as expanding international partnerships. His work contributes to the formation of the modern scientific potential of SNAU and the establishment of the university as an active participant in national and international scientific initiatives.
