On January 28, 2026, Sumy National Agrarian University signed a cooperation agreement with Avers International Limited Liability Company. The new partnership involves joint work between the university and the enterprise in the direction of developing dual education, which combines theoretical training of students with practical training directly at the workplace. For SNAU, the agreement was signed by Rector Igor Kovalenko, and for the enterprise, by its director Serhiy Pavlenko.
Avers International LLC is a diversified enterprise with a wide range of activities in the fields of agricultural production, animal husbandry, processing industry, construction, engineering, machine building, logistics, information technology and telecommunications. This diversity creates a strong practical basis for the dual education introduction, the organisation of industrial and pre-diploma internships for students, as well as the implementation of joint scientific, practical and applied developments.
Dual education at SNAU is implemented annually, providing hundreds of students of various specialisations with unique knowledge, practical skills that meet the requirements of the modern labour market, and promising employment opportunities at partner enterprises. Under the new agreement, the practical component of dual education will be implemented at the SNAU Vivarium, which ensures close integration of the educational process, science and production. Students will work with modern equipment, learn livestock management technologies, comply with veterinary and sanitary norms, quality and safety standards, and gain the practical experience necessary for professional activity. An important component of the cooperation is the involvement of the processing sector, where students will be able to undergo practical training at all stages of the production cycle – from livestock husbandry to milk processing and dairy production. This format of training allows students to gain a comprehensive understanding of all processes of agri-food production and significantly increases the practical value of educational programmes.
SNAU Rector Ihor KOVALENKO emphasised the importance of cooperation: “Dual education has become an integral part of the educational activities of agricultural universities. Thanks to cooperation with the agribusiness company Avers International LLC, SNAU is able to offer students of technological educational programmes the opportunity to participate in dual education directly at the university’s vivarium. Processing is also involved in production — the O’BEREG trademark — for the production of A2 milk products ‘Lahidne Moloko’ under a joint brand.”
Sumy National Agrarian University continues to develop a modern model of agricultural education, focusing on the combination of knowledge, practice and responsibility. Even during martial law, SNAU provides training for competitive specialists and supports the development of Ukraine’s agricultural sector by integrating dual education, science and partnerships with business.
