SNAU invests in people: developing academic leadership together with partners

Published: February 25, 2026

Sumy National Agrarian University continues its transformation! Our team became an active
participant in the third module of the Academic Managers Professional Development Programme,
which is being implemented as part of the World Bank’s UIHERP project in partnership with the
Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the British Council.

This time, the focus is on our most valuable asset: PEOPLE.

The SNAU team, consisting of Natalia BOLHOVA, Vladyslav ZUBKO, Natalia ZHURBENKO, Roman YAROSHCHUK, Maryna KUZNETSOVA and Mikhailo HEIENKO, immersed themselves in the intricacies of human capital management.

This module became a real platform for generating new ideas. The team sought answers to the key challenges of modern higher education:

  • How to build transparent career paths for researchers?
  • What motivation and engagement tools will work in 2026?
  • How to create an environment of inclusion and well-being where everyone feels part of the
    community?

A separate drive is live communication with colleagues from other universities. The exchange of experience, heated discussions and joint search for solutions help us see the bigger picture. The team is actively expanding its circle of partners, because it believes that strong education is built on strong collaborations!

Charged with energy and new tools, the participants are ready to implement changes at their home university, SNAU. Ahead lies the final sprint: the fourth module on finance, resources, and strategic planning.

We are working to ensure that SNAU remains a place where people want to grow, create, and change.
