On March 5, Sumy National Agrarian University signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Agriculture of the Northeast of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. The document was signed by the rector of SNAU, Ihor Kovalenko, and the acting director of the Institute, Vitalii Kabanets.
The partnership aims to develop education and science in the Northeast region of Ukraine, implement
joint scientific and educational programs and projects, and effectively utilize the scientific potential and
material and technical resources of both institutions. Under the agreement, the parties plan to develop cooperation in several key areas: education, research, and publishing.
Educational activities include: retraining and professional development of specialists and scientific and
pedagogical staff; involvement of specialists from both institutions in lectures, round tables, and
consultations during the preparation of master’s theses; joint supervision of doctoral candidates; and
expert evaluation of educational programs.

The parties also plan to jointly prepare monographs and textbooks, as well as scientific articles and recommendations based on research results.
The agreement provides for cooperation based on the principles of equality, openness, and partnership. The joint results of intellectual activity created within the framework of cooperation will belong to both parties in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine. The new partnership agreement opens up additional opportunities for the development of agricultural science, training of specialists, and implementation of innovative projects in the field of agriculture.
