Winter Business School at SNAU: Practical Entrepreneurship Skills for College Students

Published: March 11, 2026

On February 27–28, 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Management at SNAU held a two-day online intensive “Winter Business School: Level Up”, aimed at developing entrepreneurial thinking and practical business skills among young people. Students from professional colleges from different regions of Ukraine took part in the event. They were interested in creating their own business initiatives and developing modern economic competencies.

The program of the first day began with the strategic session “Choosing a Market Niche,” during which participants analyzed promising areas of entrepreneurial activity and formed teams to continue working on their projects. The next stage was a practical workshop “Business Architecture,” where students developed business models for their startups using the Business Model Canvas methodology.

The program also included a team interaction training session, where participants assigned roles within their teams, defined each member’s responsibilities, and analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of their projects using SWOT analysis. The first day concluded with the financial simulator “Startup Budgeting,” during which teams calculated cost structures, determined the break-even point, and planned initial investments for implementing their business ideas.

The second day of the intensive focused on the use of modern digital tools in entrepreneurial activity. During the practical session “Digital Business Infrastructure,” participants created web pages to present their products using modern no-code tools and artificial intelligence.

As part of the master class “Digital Marketing and Brand Management,” students worked on developing logos, visual identity, and promotional materials, as well as creating strategies for promoting their projects on social media. Another part of the program was the simulation game “Debates with Stakeholders,” which allowed participants to practice public speaking, argumentation, and defending business decisions.

The final stage of the intensive was the startup project pitching session, during which teams presented their business ideas to an expert panel. The participants demonstrated a creative approach to solving business challenges, the ability to work in teams, and a high level of entrepreneurial initiative.

The Winter Business School: Level Up became an important step in the development of educational initiatives of the Faculty of Economics and Management at SNAU, aimed at supporting young people, developing entrepreneurial competencies, and forming practical skills necessary for the successful implementation of business projects in the modern economic environment.
