Published: March 28, 2026

As part of the thematic week, an open lecture “A New Paradigm for Land Reform in Ukraine” was held with the participation of Ukrainian scientist and expert in the field of land relations Oleksandr Kovaliv. During the speech, the speaker analyzed the current state of land relations in Ukraine and emphasized that the completion of land reform should include not only the functioning of the land market, but also the formation of an effective system for managing national land resources.

On March 11, a creative competition “Meme from a Surveyor-Land Surveyor” was held for students of specialty 193 “Geodesy and Land Management”, aimed at developing creative thinking and popularizing professional humor. The winners of the competition were 2nd–3rd year students Vitalina Lytvynenko, Daria Velykorod, and Viktoria Tokar. Zakhar Alekseenko took second place, and Pavlo Kotvyakovsky and Elizaveta Karmazina took third place.

On March 12, the intellectual and professional competition GeoBattle: Battle for Space was held at SNAU, in which three teams participated, one of them from the Sumy Vocational College of Construction and Architecture. The event combined an exhibition of geodetic instruments and team intellectual competitions, creating an atmosphere of professional communication and friendly rivalry.

The final stage of the week was the summing up and holding of the event “Active and Successful”, during which students of specialty 193 “Geodesy and Land Management” were recognized for their achievements in studies, scientific activities, public life and sports.

In addition, during the week the department transferred to the Scientific Library of SNAU new professional publications on spatial planning and land management, prepared with the support of international programs.

Holding the Land Surveyor Week contributed to the professional development of students, popularization of the specialty and the formation of an active academic community of future specialists in the field of geodesy and land management.
