The advanced training course “Digital Literacy of Higher Education Teachers” has started at SNAU

Sumy National Agrarian University has launched a professional development course “Digital Literacy of a Higher Education Teacher”, aimed at developing modern digital competencies of scientific and pedagogical workers.

The training will last a month – from March 17 to April 17, 2026 – and provides for a blended learning format, and the course program covers current areas of digitalization of the educational process. In particular, within the first module, students will master working with educational platforms, in particular LMS Moodle: creating and configuring training courses, posting materials, organizing testing and communicating with students. Special attention is paid to maintaining an electronic assessment journal and using the university’s internal digital resources.

The program also provides for studying visualization tools and creating digital educational content, using artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process, the basics of academic integrity and safe use of AI, as well as the use of cloud services in the work of a teacher.

The first block of the course is taught by Svitlana Ahadzhanova, an associate professor at the Department of Cybernetics and Informatics, who has extensive experience in the field of digital educational technologies.

Based on the results of the training, participants will create their own educational case for one discipline and receive a certificate of advanced training.
