Visualising the future: a “Wish maps” workshop was held at SNAU

Published: March 28, 2026

On 20 March 2026, the day of the spring equinox, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted a ‘Wish Maps’ masterclass aimed at developing students’ personal potential and helping them set life goals.

The event brought participants together around the idea of consciously planning for the future by visualising their own aspirations. Participants had the opportunity not only to engage in the creative process, but also to learn about modern approaches to focusing attention and setting goals.

During the workshop, attendees:

  • learned about the neurophysiology of attention and the mechanisms of concentration;
  • analysed their own goals and distinguished personal aspirations from imposed ones;
  • worked through the structure of a vision board based on the principle of balancing life spheres;
  • created individual visual boards as a tool for achieving their goals.

The unique atmosphere of the event, symbolically linked to the spring equinox as a time of renewal and the start of a new phase, encouraged participants to engage in self-reflection and set new goals.

The students showed a high level of interest and actively participated in the practical part of the event. Such initiatives contribute to the development of soft skills, increased motivation and the formation of a goal-oriented personality.

The ‘Wish Cards’ masterclass served as yet another example of integrating the educational process with personal development tools, which is an important component of modern university education.
