While the world discusses the challenges facing frontline regions, Sumy National Agrarian University is responding with action. On March 28, our campus became a hub of energy: hundreds of prospective students, packed auditoriums, and an atmosphere where safety meets great ambition.
The measure of success that day could not have been clearer—there simply weren’t enough chairs in the main registration hall! But this “sold-out” turnout was a source of pride for the SNAU team, as it is the best confirmation that, despite the region’s border status, young people are choosing to stay, study, and build their future right here.
To ensure compliance with all safety protocols, the key events took place in the university’s modern, certified shelter. It was this space, equipped with everything necessary for comfortable interaction, that served as the venue for the first dialogue about the future. University Rector Ihor Kovalenko warmly welcomed the prospective students, praising their courage and conscious choice in favor of a quality Ukrainian education—after all, it is these young people who will become the drivers of the nation’s reconstruction tomorrow.
For those focused on results, Vita Tkachenko, Director of the Department of Career Guidance and Pre-University Preparation, delivered a comprehensive presentation on SNAU’s opportunities: from innovative educational programs to international internships and Erasmus+ projects. And to ensure the path to the coveted student ID is as transparent as possible, Viktor Sergienko, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, laid out all the details of the 2026 admissions campaign, providing comprehensive answers regarding the National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT) and document submission deadlines.
The speech by Student Rector Andrii Kolodnenko was a real crowd-pleaser. There was no trace of formality—just a heartfelt account of what life at SNAU is like outside the lecture halls: from the energy of student self-governance to the atmosphere in the dormitories and the incredible synergy that unites faculty and students into one big family.
After the official part, the university turned into a large research laboratory. Each faculty prepared a unique program so that applicants could try their future profession “by touch”:
It was a day of genuine smiles, new connections, and strategic decisions. We saw that for today’s youth, it’s not just about earning a degree, but about being part of a community that continues to grow despite everything.
“We are incredibly happy to see so many prospective students. This gives us the strength to keep working, to improve our labs, and to create the best possible conditions. We look forward to welcoming each of you into our big family!” — concluded the event organizers.
Thank you to everyone who spent this day with us. Sumy is a city of the unbreakable, and SNAU is a space of your possibilities.
