On March 20–22, 2026, in the city of Lviv, at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the Youth School of Trade Union Leaders – 2026 was held. Representatives of trade union committees of educational institutions from different regions of Ukraine took part in the event.
Sumy National Agrarian University was represented at the event by Viktoria Tokar, First Deputy Chair of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Students and Graduate Students at SNAU.
The event was organized with support from the German side and aimed at developing the youth trade union movement, enhancing leadership skills, and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.
Over the course of three days, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues, take part in thematic training sessions, discuss current challenges in trade union activities, and develop new ideas for the development of their own organizations.
As Viktoria Tokar notes:
“It is gratifying to see the growth of the youth labor union movement in Ukraine, and to realize that here at our own SNAU, we are creating real-world, practical case studies that we can share with others. I would also like to thank the organizers for the invitation and the opportunity to gain valuable experience through networking.”
The participation of SNAU representatives in such events contributes to the implementation of modern approaches in the activities of student self-government and trade union organizations, and also strengthens the university’s position in the national educational landscape.
