Volodymyr Oleksiyovych Kasianenko — Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, specialist in the field of economics, innovation processes and environmental economics. Was born in Sumy. He received his higher education at Sumy State University, with which he associated his further professional and scientific activities.
He began his professional career in 1994 as a research assistant in the Department of Economics. Over the following years, he served as a senior lecturer and associate professor, and also held administrative positions, including that of Associate Dean of the correspondence faculty.
From September 2004 to March 2026, he served as Vice Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical and Financial-Economic Affairs at Sumy State University. At the same time, he carried out academic and teaching activities as a professor in the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration. He is the author of numerous scientific works and actively contributes to the development of modern economic science.
Volodymyr Oleksiyovych Kasianenko was born on October 6, 1968 in the city of Sumy. He is a Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and has many years of experience in scientific and pedagogical activities – over 28 years.
He works at the Sumy National Agrarian University, where he holds the position of Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Financial and Economic Activities. He combines managerial activities with teaching and scientific work, ensuring the development of the educational and scientific environment of the university.
In 1994, he graduated from Sumy State University with a degree in Industrial Electronics, earning the qualification of an electronic engineer. He then studied at postgraduate level. He received a PhD in Economics with a degree in Environmental Economics.
In 2015, he defended his doctoral dissertation with a degree in Economics and National Economy Management. He holds the academic titles of Associate Professor (2001) and Professor (2021).
Scientific interests include innovation processes in economics, information economics, environmental economics and natural resources economics. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers, textbooks and manuals, and is also actively engaged in research in the field of economic development and innovation. He has completed international internships in Poland and the Czech Republic.
