Representatives from Sumy National Agrarian University took part in the Symposium for Young Scientists entitled ‘Digital Tools and Academic Practices of the Modern Researcher’. The event took place on 14–15 April in a hybrid format at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and National University named after Mykhailo Dragomanov, with the participation of young scientists, postgraduate students and researchers from different regions of Ukraine
The event was attended by Lyudmila VARENYK, Head of the Centre for Shared Use of Scientific Equipment for Advanced Agricultural Technologies ‘Laboratory of Ecological Agriculture and Natural Resource Management’, and Diana Nikitina, a second-year postgraduate student specialising in Veterinary Medicine.
The symposium programme was packed and covered topical issues in the development of modern science, including the use of digital tools in research, academic integrity, scientific communication and the application of artificial intelligence in scientific work. Participants had an opportunity to take part in training sessions, workshops, interactive classes and professional networking.
In particular, the event featured practical case studies on the use of modern digital platforms (Gemini, NotebookLM, Perplexity, Prism), discussed the potential for integrating artificial intelligence into research activities, and examined the issue of building research visibility in a global context.
The participation of SNAU representatives in such events helps to enhance their professional competence, expand their academic networks and integrate the University into Ukraine’s modern scientific and educational area.
