SNAU supports environmental initiatives: planting trees at the city educational institutions

On 21 April, representatives of Sumy National Agrarian University joined an environmental initiative to plant trees at the at the territory of  Sumy Specialised School No. 17 and Sumy Vocational College of Arts and Culture named after Dmytro Bortniansky.

The saplings for the greening initiative were provided by the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Environmental Management of SNAU, which once again highlights the university active involvement in fostering an environmentally responsible environment.

The event was attended by SNAU Rector Ihor KOVALENKO, Oleksandr DRANYK, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Construction and Transport for Distance Learning and Career Guidance; Vitalii KOLODNENKO, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Construction and Transport for Educational and Administrative Affairs; Vita TKACHENKO, Director of the Department of Pre-University Preparation and Career Guidance; and Andrii KOLODNENKO, Student Rector of SNAU.

Through the joint efforts of the participants, young trees were planted, which will in future enhance the appearance of the educational institutions grounds and help improve the ecological condition of the urban environment.

Such initiatives are an important part of environmental education for young people, the development of partnerships between educational institutions, and the fostering of a responsible attitude towards the environment. Sumy National Agrarian University continues to support similar events aimed at sustainable development and the greening of communities.
