Stem education in action: SNAU brings together school and college students around science and technology

Published: May 11, 2026

On 23 April 2026, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted an interactive STEM session for pupils  7–11 grades and students in pre-higher vocational education, aimed at developing engineering thinking and introducing them to modern technologies.

In today’s rapidly changing world, the professions of the future require the ability to think critically, work in a team, develop innovative solutions and apply knowledge in practice. As an innovative institution of higher education Sumy National Agrarian University actively implements modern educational approaches, participates in educational initiatives and carries out activities aimed at the all-round development of young people.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to try their hand at being engineers and developers: they explored the principles behind bridge structures, worked in teams to create their own models, and learnt about the potential applications of artificial intelligence in web development.

The event served as an effective platform for school pupils to get to know the university, its educational environment and lecturers, and also helped to develop practical skills, engineering thinking and informed career choices.

Sumy National Agrarian University continues to actively implement innovative educational formats, opening up new opportunities for young people in the world of science and technology.
