On May 11, 2026, at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana (Albania), within the framework of the General Assembly of the ICA Regional Network for Central and South Eastern Europe (CASEE), Sumy National Agrarian University officially became a member of this prestigious international organization.
The event took place within the framework of the 16th annual CASEE conference on the topic: “Next Stop Europe: Shaping the Future of Agriculture and Life Sciences Education”, organized by the Agricultural University of Tirana.
The decision to join the CASEE network was supported by a unanimous vote of the participants of the General Assembly. The university’s accession to the international academic community opens up new prospects for the development of scientific and educational cooperation with leading universities in Central and Eastern Europe.
Participation in the CASEE network will allow SNAU to more actively participate in international research projects, academic mobility programs, joint scientific initiatives and expand partnerships with universities in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Romania and other countries in the region.
SNAU Rector Ihor Kovalenko emphasized that joining CASEE is an important stage in the development of the university and confirmation of its active integration into the international educational and scientific space.
“For Sumy National Agrarian University, membership in CASEE is not only international recognition, but also new opportunities for our students, teachers and scientists. We continue to develop the university as a modern European educational and scientific center, open to cooperation, innovation and joint search for solutions to global challenges,” the rector noted.
The university management expressed special gratitude to the President of CASEE, Professor Florin Stanica, for his many years of support to SNAU, the development of international cooperation and his personal contribution to strengthening partnerships in the field of agricultural science and education.
Ahead of the university lies active work on the implementation of joint international initiatives, participation in new scientific projects and preparation for the next CASEE conference, which will be held in Romania.
SNAU continues to confidently strengthen its positions in the international academic environment, expanding opportunities for the development of science, education and international partnership.
