On May 16, 2026, Ukraine celebrates Science Day – a professional holiday that traditionally falls on the third Saturday of May and honors the work of scientists, their contribution to the development of the state, education, technology and society.
Sumy National Agrarian University sincerely congratulates scientific and pedagogical workers, researchers, postgraduates and young scientists who work daily on the development of science, the introduction of innovations and the formation of a modern educational environment.
Today, SNAU scientists not only actively implement grant projects and international research initiatives, but also create innovative developments in the fields of agricultural technologies, food security, ecology, veterinary medicine, engineering, economics and sustainable development. Their activities contribute to strengthening the university’s positions in Ukrainian and international rankings, the development of partnerships and the integration of SNAU into the global scientific space.
The 2025–2026 academic year was a period of significant scientific achievements for the university. SNAU rose 5 positions in the Scopus 2026 ranking and entered the top 30 higher education institutions of Ukraine. The university became a member of the international CASEE network, and SNAU scientists actively presented the results of their research at international conferences in the UK, Poland, Germany, France, Albania, Italy and other European countries.
An important area of work remains interdisciplinary research in the field of land restoration, agroforestry development, circular economy, alternative protein technologies and adaptation of the agri-food sector to modern global challenges.
Despite the challenges of wartime and the location of the university in the border region, SNAU scientific community continues to work actively, develop research, support international cooperation and inspire young students for professional development and scientific research.
