Students of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Sumy National Agrarian University have been awarded Third Degree Diplomas in the All-Ukrainian Essay Competition for Higher Education Students and Young Scientists entitled “My Gene Is Ukrainian!”.
The competition is an annual initiative of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. It aims to promote national identity, preserve historical memory, foster patriotism, and encourage reflection on contemporary social challenges. Traditionally, the event is dedicated to the birthday of Taras Shevchenko.
The competition is open to students, cadets, postgraduate students, and young researchers from all regions of Ukraine. In their essays, participants address issues related to the protection of Ukrainian statehood, national heritage, the cultural code of the Ukrainian people, and the role of citizens in modern society.
According to the final evaluation results, Third Degree Diplomas were awarded to SNAU Faculty of Economics and Management students Mariia Petukhova and Yelyzaveta Pylypenko.
In their essays, the students demonstrated a profound understanding of historical processes, a strong civic position, and respect for Ukrainian culture and traditions. These qualities were highly appreciated by the competition jury.
Mariia Petukhova prepared her competition essay under the academic supervision of Viktoriia Musiienko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, while Yelyzaveta Pylypenko worked under the supervision of Olena Shumkova, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor.
