Sumy National Agrarian University has launched a major overhaul of its official website to ensure it is fully digitally accessible to people with special needs.
The project is being implemented in partnership with the charitable organization “International Charitable Foundation ‘Friends of Ukraine’” with support from the “Askold and Dir” Foundation, administered by ISAR Unity, as part of the program “A Strong Civil Society in Ukraine—A Driving Force for Reforms and Democracy,” funded by Norway and Sweden.
There are compelling reasons for the importance of the platform’s web adaptation. The accessibility of digital services is a strategic priority for SNAU. The modernization of the website provides equal opportunities for high-quality interaction with the university for all categories of users: prospective students, current students, faculty, and international stakeholders.
Among the steps already taken, the following stand out:
Sumy National Agrarian University extends its sincere gratitude to its partners for their professional expertise and support for inclusive change.
The next steps for the SNAU Media Center are clear—work has begun on technical improvements to the platform. The university team will thoroughly review and take the audit findings into account, and all necessary adjustments will be implemented while fully preserving the official brand book and SNAU’s unique style.
The transition to international web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) reaffirms our university’s status as a modern, European, and barrier-free institution of higher education!
