Ukraine’s 35th anniversary of independence is not just a date on the calendar, but also the story of people who go about their daily lives, support others, and help the country endure. Among them is Yana Saprykina, a master’s degree candidate at Sumy National Agrarian University.
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, Yana Saprykina, a student in the “Transport Technologies (in Motor Transport)” program, was awarded a commendation from the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
This award recognizes her specific work, which is of particular importance to the Sumy region during wartime. Yana contributes to ensuring the region’s stable functioning, supports the uninterrupted operation of the fuel infrastructure, and assists the region’s residents under martial law.
Behind this award lie professionalism, responsibility, and a daily commitment to doing one’s job regardless of the circumstances. For the border region of Sumy Oblast, which continues to live and work under constant threat, such work is especially valuable.
Yana’s story is yet another example of how a university education can serve as the foundation for real change today. Even as she is earning her degree at SNAU, her professional knowledge and sense of responsibility are already serving the region’s needs.
