Sumy National Agrarian University has launched a new educational and professional program, “Renewable Energy Sources,” at the Faculty of Construction and Transport. The launch of the program is another university step in the development of modern engineering education and training of specialists for the strategically important energy sector.
The educational program is aimed at applicants who wish to obtain an engineering education in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. The main focus of the program is on developing professional competencies for solving current problems in the design, technical, technological, and organizational support of processes for the production of electricity and heat from renewable sources.
The program provides mastery of modern approaches to research, development, implementation, and management of energy facilities based on solar, wind, bioenergy, and other renewable energy technologies.
The Faculty of Construction and Transport has launched an educational program that takes into account the challenges of today and the current needs of the labor market. Training under this educational and professional program opens up broad career opportunities, particularly in the fields of renewable energy engineering, energy management, energy auditing, specialist in the design and operation of renewable energy power plants, specialist in energy systems automation, engineer at energy engineering companies, and expert in energy efficiency and sustainable development.
Bachelor’s degree in energy production with a specialization in “Renewable Energy Sources and Hydropower” prepares students to perform engineering and technical work in the fields of generation, conversion, storage, distribution, and use of electrical and thermal energy from renewable sources.
Graduates can work at renewable energy companies, power generation companies and distribution system operators, agricultural enterprises and farms, design and engineering companies, local government bodies, research institutions, and within the framework of international programs for sustainable energy development in communities.
