On May 21, 2025, a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Science in Ukraine was held in the city of Zaporizhzhia, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of regional authorities, leading scientists and young researchers from all over the country.
Sumy National Agrarian University was represented at the event by the head of the research department, Roman YAROSCHUK, who joined the discussion of topical issues of the development of the scientific sphere, support for young scientists, as well as strengthening the role of knowledge-intensive industries in the national economy.
During the event, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Denys KURBATOV emphasized the need to support universities in front-line regions, as well as the implementation of such key initiatives as the launch of basic funding for science, the implementation of the opportunities of the Horizon Europe program, and the development of an innovation ecosystem.
A particularly pleasant part of the program was the awarding of SNAU for a significant contribution to the development of science. This was a recognition of the efforts of the university staff in today’s difficult conditions.
The participants had the opportunity to present their research, establish inter-institutional cooperation and discuss the challenges facing Ukrainian science. The event became an effective platform for exchanging experience, ideas and forming strategies for further development.
SNAU continues to focus its efforts on the development of science, supporting young researchers and introducing innovations, contributing to the scientific progress of Ukraine.
